Currency conversion is performed locally by JavaScript in your browser. The number or amount you type is not sent to an Amount in Words application server for conversion, and the site does not require an account. Avoid entering bank account numbers, card details, signatures, personal identifiers, or other sensitive information; the converter needs only the numeric amount.
The Copy feature asks the browser to place the generated wording on your clipboard. Read Aloud uses the Web Speech functionality provided by your browser or operating system. The availability and data handling of speech features can depend on the device and voice provider you select.
Technical operation
Hosting and Server Logs
Like most websites, the hosting and network providers that deliver this site may process limited technical information needed for security and reliable operation. This can include an IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page, date and time, and diagnostic or security events. These logs are not combined with converter input by the site’s conversion code.
Technical data may be retained by service providers for limited periods according to their security, abuse-prevention, and operational policies. Amount in Words does not sell personal information.

The current converter does not require an account or use a cookie to remember the amount you enter. Browser permissions, clipboard behavior, speech voices, and standard caching are controlled by your browser and device settings.
Pages may link to independent websites, including number2words.com and other external resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Following an external link can provide that website with ordinary request information, such as your IP address and referring page.
